What We Do
Gemma Geologia provides Technical Due Diligence (Independent Technical Due Diligence) services for mining and mineral exploration projects, supporting investment decisions, acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, and strategic evaluations of mineral assets.
Our work is focused on the identification of technical risks, independent validation of data, and assessment of the potential and limitations of projects, delivering to investors and companies a clear, objective, and technically substantiated view of the mineral asset’s real condition.
Technical Due Diligence services are typically required in situations such as:
Acquisition or divestment of mineral assets
Entry of new investors or strategic partners
Financing processes and capital raising
Comparative evaluation of project portfolios
Strategic decision-making under technical uncertainty
Each assignment is structured according to the project stage and the investment objectives, and may include:
Regional and local geological context
Deposit type and exploration model
Lithological, structural, and geomorphological controls
Quality, consistency, and reliability of geological data
Review of work in accordance with JORC / NI 43-101 standards
Assessment of applied exploration methods
Analysis of drilling, geophysical, geochemical, and sampling programs
Identification of technical gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities
Evaluation of resource and reserve estimation methodologies
Review of assumptions, parameters, and data quality
Verification of technical consistency with international best practices, where applicable
Identification of the project’s main technical risks
Classification of uncertainties and data limitations
Assessment of the impact of risks on asset value and decision-making
Status of environmental and mineral licensing
Environmental constraints and area sensitivity
Key regulatory and socio-environmental risks associated with the project

Geophysics Applied to Mineral Prospecting and Environmental Studies:
Gemma Geologia performs high-resolution Electrical Resistivity, Induced Polarization (IP), Magnetometry, and VLF surveys, applied to mineral exploration and environmental diagnostics. These methods allow the identification of mineralized zones, geological structures, fractures, and underground contamination, providing technical support for defining drilling targets and monitoring wells.
Regional research utilizes raw data from flight lines in the area of interest, studying magnetometry, first vertical derivative, total gradient; K/Th/U ratio, RGB ternary composition, and identifying regional anomalies for project development. We use artificial intelligence to interpret the data, integrating geophysical, geochemical, and structural models.
AI accelerates the recognition of anomalies and reduces uncertainties in the definition of mineralized bodies. The processing of studies includes synchronized interpretation with artificial intelligence, integrating field data with 2D and 3D geological models.
Applications: Evaluation of deposits, prospecting for gold, copper, iron and manganese, evaluation of conductive and sulfide structures in rare earth research; environmental studies (landfills, dumps, underground leaks); hydrogeological diagnosis and definition of deep wells and environmental monitoring.
Software technology used in the projects: Oasis montaj; Res2Dinv; Res3Dinv; Qgis; Excel...

Geological Mapping and 3D Modeling
Gemma Geologia performs regional geological mapping based on available data and RGB ternary composition interpretation, as well as detailed work. We observe defined and implemented grids, integrating field data, geophysical survey data, and available geochemical data.
We conduct geological research using three-dimensional (3D) models of mineralized structures, faults, shear zones, lithological contacts, and mineralized belts. We utilize advanced modeling software and AI to generate realistic representations of the subsurface, optimizing the understanding of the geological context and the results obtained in mineral research.
Application:
Geological reconnaissance with outcrop descriptions at a suitable scale.
Structural survey and petrography
Integration of borehole, geophysical, and geochemical data.
2D/3D modeling of mineralized bodies (quartz vein with gold sulfide); (quartz reserves); (quarry reserves); (marble, kaolin, granite reserves); (emerald reserve mapping)
Geophysical interpreted data
Generation of maps and interpretive sections.
Support for mineral exploration and drilling planning.
Structural and tectonic studies
Stability assessment and geological engineering
Support for environmental licensing projects

Geochemistry Applied to Mineral Prospecting
Gemma Geologia performs geochemical sampling programs (QAQC) on soils, sediments, water, and rocks, with laboratory analyses and interpretation of the results. These studies identify metallic and geochemical anomalies related to primary or secondary mineralizations.
With the support of AI modeling and machine learning, we correlate chemical results with geophysical and structural data, generating integrated mineral potential maps. This includes: systematic planning and sample collection; georeferencing and quality control; laboratory tests (ICP-OES, XRF, AAS); statistical interpretation and multi-element geochemistry; and predictive modeling with artificial intelligence.
Prospecting for gold, copper, nickel, rare earth elements, and other metals.
Geochemical background studies
Environmental investigation and risk assessment
Support for defining boreholes and mineral blocks.

Applied Hydrogeology and Tubular Wells:
Gemma Geologia develops complete hydrogeological studies, encompassing aquifer diagnostics, pumping tests, flow modeling, and tubular well design. We focus on human, industrial, and rural (feedlot farms) water supply, environmental monitoring, and aquifer modeling (MODFLOW/AQTESOLV - Res2Dinv ) using AI to analyze parameters for calculating transmissivity, conductivity, and aquifer recharge.
Services Offered: Mineral water research with hydrogeological mapping using geophysical methods; well studies with pumping tests; well recovery; dynamic and static level monitoring; water use permits for tubular wells; technical reports with extensive research for mineral water (ANM - National Mining Agency); source and recharge area protection projects; and environmental licensing.

🌿 Environmental Studies, Licensing and Monitoring
Gemma Geologia prepares integrated environmental studies and technical reports related to mining, industry, urban development, soil characterization, groundwater, and geotechnical stability. Our work supports environmental licensing, permits, and continuous monitoring.
We apply geological knowledge and geophysical, geochemical, and AI modeling methods for diagnosing environmental liabilities and delineating contamination plumes. Examples include: Technical Reports; Geological and pedological characterization studies; Stability and Foundation reports with investigation of liabilities related to contamination; and Groundwater monitoring from observation wells with the issuance of reports for licensing.
Study of landfill and cemetery areas in order to identify anomalies in leachate contaminants in soils and groundwater, as well as flow direction, depth, and distribution.

🔸 ANM Requirements
For any type of mineral application to be made, it is necessary to check in the ANM system whether the area of application is free and available to be requested, valid for any location in the national territory. Citizens or companies incorporated under Brazilian law may request the application from the ANM with an ART/CREA (Technical Responsibility Certificate/Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy) from a qualified professional.
The Research Authorization Request modality, the approval of the request occurs with the publication of the Research Permit, a physical and financial schedule of the research stages in the requested area.
The granting of the License Registration will be conditional upon presentation of the Environmental License issued by the competent environmental agency ( Article 170 of the DNPM Normative Consolidation ).
Application under the Artisanal Mining Permit (PLG) regime, Filing of the application: basic documentation, technical-economic feasibility, Environmental License with the ANM. The artisanal mining permit can be requested by Brazilians, individuals, artisanal mining cooperatives or sole proprietorships. The applicant must be previously registered in the ANM Digital Protocol System (Art. 10 of ANM Resolution No. 16/2019).
